The higher price of the price band is called floor price.
The cap price or ceiling price is the maximum price at which investors can submit bids. It is set by the issuer in consultation with the lead managers of the IPO.
It represents the upper limit of the price band. Final issue price (cut-off price) is decided after evaluating demand for the IPO.
For example, If the price range of Indegene IPO is Rs 430 to Rs 452 per share, the cap price is Rs 452.
