Bid/Offer Closing Date

Last day on which the IPO issue is closed to the public for bidding.

The Bid/Offer Closing Date is the last day investors submit their bid or application to participate in the IPO. The IPO Closing Date refers to the deadline set by an issuer for receiving bids/applications from potential investors.

Investors must submit their bids by this date or purchase the shares before 5 p.m. on the closing date. This date is set by the issuer of the securities and is usually specified in the offer documents. After this date, no further bids or offers are accepted, and the process moves to the next stage, e.g., allotment of securities. After allotment, trading of the shares on the stock exchange begins.
