How to add nominee in Motilal Oswal demat account?

One can add nominee names through the account opening forms while opening a Demat account. Nominee names can also be added, altered, or removed at a later stage by submitting an Annexure 1A form.

The account representative may add 3 nominees to the same demat account. If there is only one nominee, all securities will be transferred to him/her. If there is more than one nominee, the beneficiary of the account can decide whether the securities in his/her account should be distributed proportionally.

Adding a nominee is not mandatory, but it is advisable to add it. It saves trouble in many situations.
