SAMCO API Key Authentication Process

SAMCO Trade API uses a secure API Key and Access Token-based authentication process for accessing trading services and APIs.

Steps to Generate API Access

  1. Generate OTP

    Call the Generate OTP API to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on the registered mobile number and email ID linked to the SAMCO trading account.

  2. Generate Secret API Key

    Use the received OTP and valid User ID to generate the Secret API Key. The Secret API Key is sent to the registered email ID and does not expire.

  3. Generate Access Token

    Generate the Access Token using the User ID and Secret API Key. The Access Token remains valid for one trading day and expires before 8:00 AM the next day.

  4. Login Authentication

    Use the Login API to authenticate the user and receive a Session Token required for accessing trading APIs.

  5. Web Login via OTP

    Users can also authenticate using Web Login Authentication Code APIs, where OTP verification allows secure login without entering username and password.

Important Notes

  • Secret API Key should not be shared with anyone.

  • Access Token can be regenerated using the same Secret API Key after expiry.

  • A valid SAMCO Trading Account and active API subscription are mandatory for API access.

  • Session Token received after login is required for authenticated API requests.
