AxisDirect API (Algo Trading) Review

No additional charges are applicable for using Axis Direct RAPID APIs. Standard brokerage charges apply as per the existing trading plan.

You can place up to 10 orders per second and 200 orders per minute.

Axis Direct provides API access credentials after completing the API onboarding process. These credentials are required to connect your application with Axis Direct APIs securely.

Generate Secret Key

The secret_key is a randomly generated security key used to encrypt data during the API login process. It helps in securely sending sensitive information between your application and Axis Direct servers.

The key is generated as a 16-byte random value and converted into a hexadecimal format so it can be easily used in API requests and encryption methods.

Generate Public Key

The public_key is generated using the Handshake API provided by Axis Direct and is used during the secure authentication and encryption process.

API Login Process

Axis Direct APIs use an SSO (Single Sign-On) based login system. Here are the login steps:

1. Generate the public_key and secret_key
2. Encrypt the login data using the provided encryption method
3. Call the SSO Initiate API
4. You will receive an SSO login URL
5. Open the URL and login using your Axis Direct credentials and access code
6. After successful login, you will receive an ssoID/strong>
7. Pass the ssoID to the SSO Authenticate API
8. The API will return a session token

This session token is used for placing orders, accessing market data, checking positions, holdings, and other trading activities through the API.
