Pace Digitek Limited: Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) Battery Systems

Pace Digitek Limited IPO has made a significant entry into the energy storage market with a focus on manufacturing and supplying lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery systems. These batteries are primarily used for energy storage in telecom towers, ensuring uninterrupted power backup, and for grid-scale applications that support renewable energy integration.

The company recently inaugurated India’s largest BESS plant in Bengaluru with a 5 GWh capacity, supporting the integration of renewable energy like solar and wind and India’s 500 GW clean energy target by 2030. Pace Digitek has secured 2.2 GWh of energy storage projects with Viability Gap Funding of Rs 27 Lakh per MWh from the Ministry of Power.

The company provides end-to-end integrated solutions in the telecom infrastructure segment, including tower erection, optical fiber laying, and power management products, with in-house capabilities across products, projects, and services. Its backward integration strategy for both telecom infrastructure and BESS projects ensures a competitive advantage and self-reliance in the supply chain.

Pace Digitek’s Li-ion batteries are designed to be compact, efficient, and durable, with a wide operating temperature range. Battery modules undergo thorough testing during manufacturing, and the system includes an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) to monitor and control voltage, current, temperature, state of charge (SOC), and state of health (SOH). The BMS provides protection against overcharging, over-discharging, over-current, and temperature fluctuations, and supports external data monitoring through Modbus RS485 communication.

Pace Digitek’s initial public offering (IPO) of Rs 819.15 crore aims to fund its BESS projects, including those awarded by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) via its subsidiary, Pace Renewable Energies.
